Of all the things on my mind in July, my income wasn’t really one of them. I’m well aware of my privilege here, although I’ve newly arrived at it. But it also means that whatever numbers are below will be a surprise to me — good or bad, so I have no immediate thoughts on what July was like. Other than a very long month.
June 2020 was better than June 2019 and yet, my net income has fallen several hundred dollars since the beginning of the year. Not sure if that means anything, but I only know it because I track my income each month. We shall see if it’s an indication of anything significant or just a typical blip in the life of a freelancer.
So how was May? Thankfully about the same as every other month. My vanilla income has decreased slightly but every other revenue stream has held steady which is definitely a win considering the state of the world.
In my income reports, I break down my income by “client work” which is further broken down between vanilla and sex/adult and as well as a list of revenue streams created by my content — blog, podcast, videos, other work. Let’s talk about what that means.
While my focus on 2020 is meant to be on my own projects, my clients seem to have had other plans. While you won’t see this in the January income, I’ve taken on multiple new projects offered by clients…because I like money and financial security. Plus John Brownstone and I are buying a new house in 2020.
