Give Yourself Time to Accomplish Your Goals

Depending on who you listen to, it takes 10,000 hours to master a skill or it takes ten years to find “success”depending on how you define it. Whether either are true or not, both numbers give me hope. They tell me I’ve got time to achieve my goals and become better at what I do. And I think the same is true for you, too. Try not to be in such a rush and realize that you don’t have to figure it all out right away.

Very good advice. It is true that ten years feels like a drop in the ocean when you’re looking back at it. But it is such a frustratingly distant mirage at the start. It’s heartening to listen to this podcast and know that it’s cool- that’s how it works.
And now I’m off to search YouTube for Lizzo, who I haven’t heard of before, but am now intrigued by!
